

CLASS OFFERINGS
BARRE ABOVE

Barre Above is a fitness program that combines yoga, pilates, strength training and ballet. Barre
classes incorporate specific sequencing pattern movements that target several muscle groups.
These movements help to improve strength, balance, flexibility and posture. Barre Above was
designed to be low impact for people of any age as well as varying fitness levels. You do not
need to be a dancer to enjoy this class. Many variations are given to allow everyone the
opportunity to feel success and enjoyment within their class!
DANCE CARDIO

Dance your way to fitness! This exhilarating cardio class, to radio hits music, uses easy to follow
dance and aerobic steps combining fast and slow rhythms to tone and sculpt your body and
mind while having so much fun! It is low-medium impact and gets the heart pumping and the
body moving. No dance experience is needed and is for all fitness levels.
ZUMBA®

Zumba® is a latin inspired dance-fitness party. It combines high and low intensity movements in
many latin styles such as Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Bachata and more. People
call it a workout in disguise. The benefits are a total body workout including cardio muscle
conditioning, a boost of energy and all of the awesomeness! Zumba is for everyBODY and is
designed to bring everyone together. No dance experience needed. Super effective? CHECK!

ZUMBA KIDS® & KIDS JR®

Zumba kids® and Kids JR® is perfect for your young ones to be active and have fun while doing
so! These classes include kid-friendly routines that are based on original Zumba choreography.
We also add extra fun with games, activities and various ways to explore the culture behind the
Latin styles. Zumba kids® and Kids JR® provides a safe space for kids to explore who they are
and brings in the element of fitness as a part of a healthy lifestyle. As well as having loads of fun
your child will learn leadership skills, self esteem builders, team work, respect, creativity,
coordination and so much more. Come join the party!
BALLETONE

Balletone is a fusion of non stop cardio and strength that blends techniques from ballet, Pilates
and fitness. This class will leave EVERYONE feeling graceful, strong and elegant. Like classical
ballet, the Balletone program provides a foundation of healthier posture, improved body
alignment, increased balance, development of joint strength, and precise control of the body.
Balletone offers professionals the ability to teach a class that allows every participant and
everyBODY to feel graceful, elegant, and strong. You don’t need to have dance experience to
enjoy a Balletone workout.
BABY & ME BARRE

Baby & me barre is a low impact workout that incorporates all your favorite movements from the
barre above program while giving your littles a workout too. We know first hand what our body
goes through during pregnancy and after birth so safe postnatal movements are incorporated
into this program to make it accessible to everyone. This class is meant for both mom and dads
with littles who are able to be worn in a baby carrier for approximately 20-30 minutes. (Carrier
not necessary if you prefer to do without)
STRETCH & STRENGTH

Stretch & Strength brings the body into balance by stretching the muscles as well as
strengthening them. We will be stretching and releasing tight and overused muscles. There are
many benefits to incorporating this class into your exercise routine, such as, reducing risk of
future injury to muscles and joints, increasing maximum range of motion, mobility and muscle
balance. This class is geared to all fitness levels! You will leave the studio feeling taller, stronger
and more flexible.
STRONG NATION

Stop counting the reps. Start training to the beat. STRONG NationTM combines body weight,
muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has
been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee
is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. In each
class you'll burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive
moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like
lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG NationTM instructors change up the music and moves
frequently to make sure you’re always challenged to the max.
This workout is for EveryBODY! Options are given to set every person up for success and to
make every move accessible to everyone. All levels welcome!
KUNDALINI YOGA

Kundalini yoga is a living technology. It combines asanas, breathwork, sound, mantras and
meditation to help ignite and awaken the divine within. Kundalini comes from the sanskrit
meaning coiled energy. At the base of the pelvis the energy coils rises up the spinal channel,
through the vagus nerve and continues through an orbit. It is really incredible. This gentle form
of yoga is for all levels as well as those looking to expand their practice and dive deep into an
inner awareness of self.
CAMP FOR DANCERS

Each day and throughout the week we will move through several pieces to not only enhance your training but enhance your mind and body to be ready for the dance season ahead! All content will be geared towards the ages being taught that week. The following content will be covered:
*Cross training with Barre Above classes
*Stretch & Strength Training
*Conditioning
*Choreography in several genres
*Exploration of different genres (Hip Hop, Ballet, tap (JR’s & Inters only), lyrical, contemporary, African Jazz, Jazz, musical theatre)
*Technique training with barre exercises as well as centre and down the room exercises
*Mindfulness pieces (journaling for older students, importance of caring for our mind body and soul and how it ties into our dancing, expression of emotions)
*Improv and its importance
*learning games used to remember content
*Breaks for snacks, etc.
* Partner work
There will be a limit of 15 spots per week as our space is limited! I require at least 5 students per week to run the camp! As spots are limited I have put a cancellation policy in place.
